This project was conceived to address the challenges of globalization and polarization. The staggering pace of globalization offers multiple prospects for growth but leaves little opportunity for engaging in camaraderie and connections that cross cultures and nations. Our goal was to bring individuals together to relate personal stories and create sustainable dialogue founded on civic engagement, freedom of expression and of course, a shared interest in arts and culture.
Portals are gold spaces equipped with immersive audio-visual technology. Upon entering, you come face-to-face with someone in a distant Portal as if in the same room! CAP, we hosted 64 national dialogues connecting cities through our portal networks by sourcing technology from Shared_Studio ( https://www.sharedstudios.com ). We were able to provide citizens with a platform to share experiences and build connections not only within Pakistan but also with the rest of the world. CAP hosted 42 international dialogues connecting Pakistan with United States of America, Germany, Afghanistan, United Kingdom, United Arab Emirates, Rwanda and Palestine. We were able to directly host 738 people including experts and citizens through our curated dialogues inside the portals. These portals are inflatable gold spaces equipped with immersive audiovisual technology that brought together policymakers, artists, musicians, actors, entrepreneurs, animators, writers, activists, archivists, journalists, medical and herbal practitioners under a shared virtual roof.
