The Lahore team had the ‘CAP Lollywood Night: Old is Gold’ a fundraiser that recreated the magic of the golden days of the Lollywood industry, celebrating the quality of cinematic ventures produced in the past. Funds raised went towards supporting the ongoing heritage ventures at CAP. The event was held on Saturday, October 17th, 2015 at Ali Auditorium in Lahore. The fundraiser was a screening of the 60’s blockbuster ‘Armaan’, featuring the charismatic duo: ‘chocolate hero’ Waheed Murad and the gorgeous Zeba. ‘Armaan’ was a blockbuster hit at the time of its release – the Murad-Zeba duo wowed the audience and the iconic ‘Coco Co Rina’ is still hailed as one of the most popular tunes ever produced by Pakistani cinema. The film broke several records at the box office: It ran for over 75 weeks in the country, achieving the feat of becoming the first ‘Platinum Jubilee’ movie in Lollywood, along with bagging several Nigar awards, including the ‘Best Film’ for 1966.
